My research concerns the structure, mechanism and engineering of biological systems at the molecular scale.
I study the link sequence-folding-function in RNA and I work on the development of new approaches to design dynamically folding RNA structures. This work is applied to the analysis of RNA-based genetic regulatory functions and on the engineering of regulatory RNA systems. [read more]
Previously, I worked on the evolution of genetic regulation mechanisms, on the self-assembly of nanobiomaterials, and in the field of mechano-enzymology and nanobiophysics. [read more]
